- NANPA
- North American Number Plan Administration (NANPA) - Neustar is the keeper of the phone numbering system for customers throughout the United States, Canada, Bermuda, and many of the Caribbean islands. It's the centralized source for assigning all area codes and central office codes, coordinating area code relief as the demand for numbers increases. As designated in Neustar's agreement with the Federal Communications Commission and the North American Numbering Plan Council, Neustar ensures timely, equitable and efficient administration of the rapidly growing number of requests for area codes and central office codes.

- NPAC
Local Number Portability Administration (LNPA) - Neustar manages the registry
that allows customers to keep their existing phone numbers when switching
local service providers. Its operation of the Number Portability Administration
Center (NPAC) in Sterling, VA provides a master registry of routing information
that interfaces with local and long distance carriers.
ESQK
Administration
The Neustar Pooling Administrator, acting as the
Interim Routing Number Authority Administrator (IRNA),
is charged with administration and assignment of
Emergency Service Query Keys (ESQKs), which are used
for routing and retrieval of automatic location
information for nomadic VoIP 911 calls. The Neustar
Pooling Administrator will administer these resources
pursuant to the terms of the Interim Assignment
Guidelines issued by the North American Numbering
Council for administration of pseudo Automatic Number
Identification codes, as modified by the Wireline
Competition Bureau’s letter of September 8, 2006.
