Disconnecting Company’s Responsibility for
a Block Disconnect
Section 9.1.4 of the Thousands-Block Number Pooling
Administration Guidelines indicates
that it is the returning/disconnecting company’s responsibility
when completing a block disconnect request to notify the pooling
administrator (PA) if there are contaminated TNs in the block.
The Service Provider or Service Provider Consultant needs to
inform the PA of the number of ports regardless if the
contaminated TNs are the disconnecting company’s or not. The
user will notify the PA with the number of contaminated TNs on
the disconnect screen in PAS.
For more information on submitting a Block Disconnect request
please reference the PAS Service Provider and Service Provider
Consultant User Guide, section 5.3.8 “Submit a Block Disconnect
Request.”
