Pool Replenishment - CO Code Demand
When an SP/SPC user submits a block request in PAS for an
NPA/Rate Center where pool
replenishment is needed, PAS will bring up the Pool
Replenishment Request screen. The Pool Replenishment Request
screen shows the current status of the pool for the NPA and Rate
Center for which the request is being made. It is important to
review the CO Code Demand section of the Pool Replenishment
Request screen. The CO Code Demand section show how many CO
Codes are:
- Needed: This is based on the current forecasted
demand for all SPs who have forecasted a need for blocks
in the next 6 months.
- NANPA: This is when a code request (pool
replenishment and/or LRN) has been submitted by an SP,
suspended by the PA, and is awaiting a response from
NANPA.
- In Queue: This is when a code request (pool
replenishment and/or LRN) has been submitted by an SP
and hasn’t been processed by the PA.

Even though PAS may prompt the user with the
Pool
Replenishment Request screen the user should review the
CO Code Demand section since there could be
sufficient code requests pending that can fulfill the need for
replenishment for the requested rate center.
For more information on submitting a
Pool Replenishment
Request and/or
Split Request
(receive a portion of the blocks from the pool and a portion of
the blocks from a code for pool replenishment) please see
section 5.3.1, step 3 of the PAS SP SPC User Guide.
